Do you diagnose ADHD in adults in Italy?
Yes. I evaluate adults presenting with possible ADHD, using a full clinical history and standardized assessment tools, and can provide a formal diagnosis when criteria are met.
I was already diagnosed with ADHD abroad — can you continue my treatment here?
Yes. I regularly work with expats who have an existing diagnosis and treatment history and need a physician in Italy who can review their records, ensure continuity, and manage care in English.
Which ADHD medications can you prescribe?
I work with the full range of evidence-based ADHD medication options, including:

Stimulant medications (methylphenidate-based), available in both immediate-release and extended/modified-release formulations, chosen based on your daily routine and how long you need coverage.

Ritalin — immediate-release methylphenidate. Short duration of action, often requiring multiple daily doses to maintain coverage.

Medikinet — modified-release methylphenidate, designed for steadier, longer coverage across the day.

Equasym — a biphasic modified-release methylphenidate formulation, combining an immediate-release portion with a delayed-release portion in the same capsule, giving both a faster onset and extended coverage across the day.

Non-stimulant options, such as atomoxetine, for patients who prefer or need an alternative to stimulants.

Adjunct or off-label options (such as bupropion or modafinil) in select cases, when clinically appropriate.

Is an ADHD diagnosis from another country valid in Italy?
A prior diagnosis is valuable clinical history, but Italian practice requires its own current assessment before treatment decisions are made here. I can review your existing documentation as part of that process.
